Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) offers flexible and affordable UG, PG, diploma, and certificate courses through online and distance learning. The July 2025 admission cycle is open, with applications accepted until October 15, 2025. Students can register, apply, upload documents, and pay fees fully online. 1. New User Registration
- Visit the IGNOU admission portal through merishiksha.org and select Register Online → Fresh Admission.
- Click on Click Here for New Registration.
- Fill out the registration form:
- Username: 8–16 characters
- Password: 8–16 alphanumeric characters
- Submit the form. Your login credentials will be sent to your email and mobile via SMS.
2. Logging In
- Go back to the portal and click Login.
- Enter your username and password.
- Existing users can log in directly without registering again.
3. Filling the Application Form
After logging in, fill in:
- Personal information
- Program selection
- Educational background
- Address and contact details
- For unlisted subjects, select Others.
- Graduates must enter “9999” for the Board Code.
4. Document Uploads
Upload scanned documents (size limits apply):
- Passport-size photograph (≤ 100 KB)
- Signature (≤ 100 KB)
- Age proof
- Qualification certificates
- Experience certificate (if applicable)
- Category certificate (SC/ST/OBC)
- BPL certificate (if applicable)
5. Fee Payment
Pay the admission fee using:
- Credit/Debit card (MasterCard/Visa/Rupay)
- Net banking
- ATM card (PNB)
