UGC NET June 2026 Result Expected This Week — Answer Key Challenge Window Closed, Re-Exam for 3 Subjects in September

The UGC NET June 2026 result for 84 subjects is expected by the end of August or first week of September 2026. The provisional answer key challenge window closed on August 18, 2026, and the NTA is now processing the challenges. Separately, re-exams for 3 subjects — English, Commerce, and Sociology — are scheduled for September 9–10, 2026. NTA has confirmed that these re-exams will not delay the result for the remaining 84 subjects.

Answer Key Challenge — What Happened?

The NTA released the provisional answer key for 84 subjects on August 16, 2026. Candidates had the opportunity to challenge answers they believed were incorrect by paying ₹200 per question.

The challenge window closed on August 18, 2026. The NTA is now reviewing all submitted challenges with the help of subject experts. Any questions found to have incorrect answers will be revised in the final answer key.

Note: If your challenge is accepted, the ₹200 fee will be refunded. The revised (final) answer key is released along with the result.
